Puckoon is the name of the second book by noted Indian English writer, Pankaj Parashar. The first book was called The Right to Information, which has been critically acclaimed and praised for its witty prose. So, when Pankaj Parashar wrote his second book, he had no intention of writing another one. He went through a rough patch at that point in his life.

When he wrote this book, he said that “after Puckoon I swore I'd never write another book. This is it”. Later Pankaj decided to write another book again.
